Living in Their Happily Ever After!

Last night my Grandpa Pommerville was reunited with my Grandma, around 9pm. He was surrounded by 10 out of his 11 children, who had been singing him songs, reading him stories and scriptures. He was diagnosed with Leukemia (AML) about 3 weeks ago. He spent about 9 days in the hospital courageously fighting multiple complications. Saturday the doctors came to the realization that they could do no more. My Grandpa wanted to die in his home, so the ambulance took him home Saturday night and he passed away Sunday night, just about 24 hours later.

Although I was not there, I know it was a peaceful passing, and that the spirit was present. My Grandpa loved the Lord and served him valiantly all his days. Whomever he came in contact with, whether briefly or to make a lasting relationship, they would always feel the love of the Lord through him. And they would know, and could feel my Grandpas love for his Lord.

My Grandma passed away a little over a year ago, and Grandpa has missed her dearly. I am thankful for the year we have had with him! But I am also thankful that he will be with his love, no longer suffering from any of their physical illnesses, but whole, healthy and together, never to be separated again! Living in their Happily Ever After!
I loved, and still love my grandparents. They were living a Christ-like life in every way. They lived a life of selfless service and love, and I have no doubt that they are continuing that legacy, now together, to further the work of our Lord, to save their beloved brothers and sisters who did not get an opportunity while on the earth, and to further their love and relationship, for time and all eternity. I know they are together, and will never be separated again.

We were surprised to learn of your Grandpa's passing this morning from Grammy. Alyssa, what you wrote was beautiful. What a blessing it is that we know he is with his wonderful wife and just as you said...they will never be separated again. I was not able to spend much time with them, but from what I saw and heard about them they incredible people. I also know that because they raised an incredible daughter, your mom. We love you Lyss. We are thinking and praying about you and your whole family today and will continue to.

Alyssa, my thoughts are with you. It was two years today that my Grandma passed, and it is still hard for me to believe that she is gone, so I sympathize with you. Your grandpa was such a hoot at the wedding and made us all feel so welcome in California. I am sure he will be missed by many, and welcome by many as well. What a great reunion your grandparents must be having!
