My Little Shopper!

Today was the first time I took Paige to the mall! It was actually my first time at the Gateway Mall in SLC too! LEt me just say, I LOVE that mall!! I so want to go back! => Paige and I met my friend Julie for a little girls play date! We shopped around for a while, had dinner at Costa Vida and went home. It seemed to go by so quick but it was so much fun! I want to do it again! => And Paige did GREAT! She stayed in her car seat and just looked around for the first couple stores. Then she got fussy so we held her. And as soon as she was held and able to look around she was a perfect little shopper! I am so proud! haha While we were in the Claire's store we found out Paige is old enough to get her ears pierced! Oh I am so excited! I want to pierce her ears so bad, Jared on the otherhand really does not want her ears pierced. He thinks only adults should have their ears pierced. I will win this debate, and our little girl will have her ears pierced before she is 18. haha =>
Thanks for coming with us Julie! We had a BLAST!

Survived First Store!

We have not taken Paige to any stores yet. We don't want her to get sick, and one of us is always available to watch her while the other one goes out. Well today was different. Paige had 2 diapers left.......at like noon, and plenty of poops to come in the day. Jared had complications with some of his employees and had to work long hours and was not able to get home. Kalyn was in class and then studying. So it was up to me to brave the store alone with Paige! Adn we survived!! Paige was WONDERFUL! She did not cry and only fussed a little at the end, but a pacie put an end to that right away. I was so proud of us! => haha
At WalMart I bought little hair ties and cute bow clips. I had to see if I could do a "waterfall" on Paige.... guess what, I can! And I am totally in LOVE with it! You can't really see the hair sprouting up in this pic, but just trust me, its soooo cute!
Later that day I called my sister and asked her to come over. I was in DESPRATE need of grown-up interaction. Jared has been working like a mad man this week (putting in at LEAST 12hr days) so my adult interaction was drastically reduced to almost nothing.
I am so thankful Kalyn was free and willing to come play with me! Thanks so much! It was much needed! And we even went shopping and found Paige the cutest blessing dress!! I am so excited for her to wear it! =>

Overall, this was a very successful day! Paige and I survived our first trip to the store, and alone, and I have some fun girl time with my sister and daughter!

Purchase of First Baby Thing!

When we first found out we were pregnant Jared made me promise I wouldn't buy anything until I was six months pregnant. That seemed logical to me. It would be after we found out the babys gender, only three moths left, and would give us plenty of time to prepare for that expense. Around the fourth and fifth month it was SUPER hard not to buy anything. I wanted to buy baby things so badly, I resisted, but counted down the days until I was six months. Well, I am over seven months and I have just purchased our first baby item!! A four piece crib bedding set! (called bananafish, even the name is cute and fun!)I don't really know what happened, the baby stuff desire just faded away I guess. This is not our first baby item though. Over Christmas my Mom bought us a couple baby outfits and baby odds and ends (she wanted to be the first to get us baby things, and she was =>) and some of my aunts gave us their old baby stuff that they were done with (thanks again!) So we have accumulated baby things, which tripped out Jared at first (walking into a room and seeing baby things is definately something that takes getting used to), but this is our first purchase! I love it! I am so excited to set it up and admire it in real life! (its still in its package). And it is kindof a daunting thought, that a baby could be here in as little as 8 weeks and be considered full term. Ahhh!! I am definately not ready! I guess I will just have to continue getting cute baby things to get me excited and hopefully push out the scareds. haha

Craigslist Sale!

So some of our friends moved back to Utah yesterday, it is such a bummer! And since they didnt rent a moving van and were just taking their car, they gave us their dresser and end table. (thruout the summer they had accumulated a lot of free furniture) So I was sitting home last night, bored, waiting for Jared to get home, and then I decided something..... I would sell our new found furniture of craigslist! I was so excited!! I had never put anything on the internet for sale before! So I took pictures, took measurements, and posted an add on craigslist for a dresser and an end table!I asked $30 for the dresser and $10 for the end table, or best offer. And lo and behold not 40 minutes later I get an email from a girl who it willing to pay the full $30 for the dresser! I was so excited! So I was safe and had her come pick it up when Jared was home. And I made 30 bucks! Just that easy!! Oh I am so excited! I am going to have to find more things to sell! => But the end table hasn't had any nibbles yet, probably because its not very attractive. => Oh well, I am sure there is a DI near by! =>

Yay for Sales!!

Yesterday two of the wives and I went shopping at Flatt Iron Crossing! There is a HUGE mall there plus like a million other stores around it, so there is no way we can see it all in one trip. This time we went to Nordstrom Rack (which I had never been in before) and a couple stores in the main mall. I thought I did great picking out clothes for Jared (I got three very handsome shirts) but when I had him try them on at home, they didnt fit, bummer. But I did get two cute shirts for me and a bathing suit! (yes another bathing suit, i think I'm addicted) I fell in love with this one at Victorias Secret last week and couldnt stop thinking about it, so I went and bought it. And it was on sale for only $20!!! So I told the other wives and they went and got like $100 bathing suits for only $20 too!!! Thats totally made my week!!Me and two of the wives with some of our bags, the ones from the main mall!
This is what my car looked like while driving home! There were so many bags!! It was like a girls dream come true! =>
