Cliff Jumping!

On Saturday Jared and I went with Tom and Lindsay to Dierkes Lake in the Snake River Canyon to go cliff jumping!! Again, this place is one where they went quite frequently in high school. There were countless numbers of cliffs to jump from, and they all had their own silly name. The ones they jumped off of were called "Hippie Head" which is 35-40ft high and "Chicken Poo" (i cleaned up the name for you) which is 15-20ft!
I took this picture right as we got off the hicking trail, you can see some of the places we jump from over Jared's left shoulder.
Tom and Jared are standing under the rock "Hippie Head" I told them to pretend like they are coming out its nose, like boogers....they are not so good at being boogers =>
I was planning on jumping a couple times, but when we got there the water was dirty and green and slimmy crap was all on the sides of the rocks. The boys said the water was fine and that its just natural minerals, but i was standing firm! When water is green in pools its bad to swim in, so in my mind, same with the lake =>
Jared did a warm up jump off "Chicken Poo" but I wasnt able to catch a picture of it, and here he is standing on top of "Hippie Head"
And here he goes!! He is so brave to jump off a 40ft cliff!!
Look at that entry!! What a pro!! =>
I was not nervous to jump, I was just nervous about the grotty water. => So finally right at the end I decided I would go off the "Chicken Poo" jump, if Jared would come with me! =>
Then when I got up there, the height started gettin to me => I know 20ft is not super high, but it is high enough to scare me! => But luckily I had my patient husband up there with me!
Also, since the cliff is a good couple feet from the water, Jared was coaching me on how I really needed to jump out and not just down, so I don't miss the water and hit the rocks..... yep, that didn't really help my nervousness =>
We couldn't really go at the same time. that would be too dangerous, so I had Jared go first so he could catch me => Ok not really catch me, but be there when I fall.
And after a couple minutes of Jared treading water waiting for me to jump, I finally took the leap! => And the fall was not that bad, it was the hitting the water! It was a LOT colder than I expected, it was 60 degrees!!! The water was so cold it took my breath away when I landed in it!! Dang cold Idaho water!!! =>
When I almost had my breath completely caught we began to swim back to the side where you get out. It was a nice little romantic swim in the grotty freezing Idaho water...ok so everything can't be perfect beaches, but I'll take what I can get =>
To end that fun little adventure it started sprinkling and a beautiful double rainbow appeared! I thought this picture was too good to pass up! How many times do you see a double rainbow perfectly fraiming the American flag in your friends driveway? I know => It was a fun cliff jumping adventure, and I am beginning to see how Idaho can be fun => hahaha

Downtown Date

Saturdays are one of my favorite days because Jared gets home areound 4:30 or 5!! When he got home yesterday we decided to go to the pool and swim around a bit! I love swimming and it is a thousand times better with Jared!
After swimming for a couple hours we, ok I, decided I wanted to go dancing, and Jared was just dragged along. => So we set off to downtown Denver to find a place to dance!
We were going to crash a Young Single Adult dance, but we couldn't find where it was. So I had the brilliant idea to just go to a dance club, because I was sure there were many in downtown Denver. And Jared being the loving and kind husband he is protested slightly, but gave in and started driving around to find a dancing place for me.
And yep, we totally got lost! It was a fun lost tho, and Jared is a human GPS system so he got us back on course in no time! But it was interesting seeing the slums of Denver. =>
We meandered our way into the heart of downtown, and found some place to park. I had givin up on the dancing idea because we were not finding any attractive places to dance, only the ones that you would get shot if you were a white girl => And I wasn't really in the mood to get shot. =>
While driving we saw a bunch of people walking around this one street. For more like 20 blocks there is a mall! The street is even called "16th Street Mall" And at 10 o'clock at night there was a lot of hustle and bustle around there, so we decided to walk it. And boy, whas that an eye opener or what!! I can honestly say, I had never been so grateful to have standards. We saw many things, that I never thought were real. There was a guy that was so drunk he passed out, cut his hand on the way down, and peed like a gallon out of his pants, right in the middle of everyone. There were skanky musslims, yeah, I never thought you could be skanky with every part of your body covered, but trust me, you can. A restaurant caught on fire, yes real and true!
These are the fire trucks that came. Jared and I had walked by the restaurant and an alarm was going off, and it was very annoying, and a funny smell was comingout but we didnt think anything of it. Then we went up a couple levels of this structure and we saw smoke coming out of the roof and then these fire trucks pulled up, and it all made sense! Very intersting! We also say 2 lambourginis, a fricking sweet lotus, sweet mercedes & bentelys. And we saw a real Cyote Ugly. Yes, I was still nieve enough to think it was just for a movie, but no, they are real!
I wanted to go in, just so I could get the experience, but alas, I am too young! That adventure will be saved for a later day, maybe. => Then Jared and I found a gelato shop nestled in between like four different night clubs, and these were the nice kinds, not the get shot kinds.
So we got ice cream and a milk shake and parked ourselves on a bench and people watched. Let me tell you, some weird people go to night clubs! I am glad I don't party at those scenes! But, they do make for some entertaining people watching! And the bums. Haha, those guys were hilarious. One even had a sign saying "Trying to get drunk as hell, please help" Oh so funny!! Looking back on it now, we totally should have taken a picture, but we didn't. All in all, this was a very enlightening experience. I know it is hard to believe, but this was my first time in a downtown night life! Jared's favorite part of the night was just watching my reactions to things! It was fun to go visit and see "how the other half lives" but I am very grateful for my standards and values that keep me out of places like that!

Water World With Jared!

On Saturday the EcoSure sales men decided they were going to stop working at 1:00 and go to Water World!! I was so excited to hear that news!! That means I get to have fu adventures with Jared!!! =>
And we had plenty of adventures there! When we first got there we went in the wave pool to warm up, and get ready for the adventure rides ahead! Jared and I love the wave pool!!! It is so much fun to be thrashed around by waves!!! Almost as good as the beach, but hey, living in the inland states, you take what you can get! =>After we were thuroughly warmed up we went to the wave simulator. Now when I went with the wives, I tried every ride, so I know what I like and what I dont. This, I dont. I assume if I were better at it I would, but all you do is get on then thrown off by the waves. Well, the whole office had met up there, and I figured I would try it one more time. BIG mistake!!!! Totally went on, totally wiped out, and totally flashed THE WHOLE EcoSure office!! Yep, there was nothing left to the imagination! Needless to say, Jared wasn't very comfortable with that. But now we have a funny story to tell.
When things happen that no one would wish, I think its funny to see peoples reactions. Myself, I laugh at things, that helps me keep a good perspective. Jared, he gets quite. After this little incident some of the girls would come up to me and say "Oh I am so sorry, but you are handling it so well. If that had happened to me....." I find reactions so interesting!
But we in no way let this slow us down! => It did take us a couple rides to recover fully, but being able to laugh about it right away and continuing to play helped and we ruled that park!! And we had a wonderful day there!!!
I had wanted to go to the water park with Jared since before we even came out here! I am so grateful that we got to spend 1/2 a day there!!!
And after a fun filled day of work and Water World, we drove back waterlogged and chlorinated! => But it was sooo worth it!! => So much Fun!!!!

4th of July Adventure!

On Saturday, after the wives run, I was able to meet Jared at Chatfield Resovior to jet ski!! A boy he sells with lives around there and his family has jet skis. They were nice enough to let us borrow them for the evening.
We went with a group from EcoSure down to the lake. Jared and two other boys went to the boat docks to just the two jetskis in, and ten rest of us went down to the lake front. When we first got there it was slightly raining (sprinkling) and the wind was blowing like crazy! So yes, it was a little chilly. But the water was warm, so I put my feet in the water and blocked the wind and the rain with my umbrealla =>
When the boys finally got back to us Jared and I got to go out!! And it was also our job to take life vests back to some people on the other side of the lake. (The boys has some miscommunication so the person who drove the car left without giving the boys life vests, and the rangers wouldn't let them drive the jetskiss over to us without life vests. This kind family was nice enough to let them borrow some)
I was rip and rearin to go, but then we discovered that I had taken the big life vest and left Jared with the small one. =>
So we exchanged vests, and everything was all fine! =>
Here we go!! I am so excited to ride this thing!! =>
We had to figure out how to ride together with two exrta life jackets. So we situated them between ourselves, because we figured I would be holding on to Jared for dear life anyways. =>
I love that I got to play with Jared on the 4th of July!! While we were waiting for the jet skis I was talking to one of the sales girls and told her that Jared and I hardly have any pictures together this summer. She was so cute and took my camera, and she deffinately did a good job at taking pictures of us on the jet skis!! Thanks so much Jenny!! =>
Here we go! Off into the wild blue yonder! => (I like the touch of two life vests between us, after all we need to be B_O_M length apart) => hehehe
These things were so much fun! Yes I was nervous and scared the first time Jared went super fast, because this is my first time on one, but then I got used to it and it was very enjoyable!! =>
After our first ride together!! I love this man!!! I am so lucky to have married such a wonderful person!!!
While we were waiting for the boys, We were under umbrellas (as you saw in the beginning of this post) and Jenny had an idea that we exagerate the picture and go waist (and then neck) deep into the water while still holding the umbrellas. So later that evening, we did. And I think it turned out to be a pretty cute picture. =>
On our second time out, we got dumped into the water. I was way scared to go in the water, maybe I have watched one too many water related scarry movies, but once I was in there, I was fine! And it was quite funny! =>
This is the day we were out, I had to get one of the bipolar skies! There were dark rain clouds, normal bright blue skies, some clouds that couldnt decide if they wanted to be rainy or not, and a beautiful sun! It definately was not the perfect warm lake weather, but it was not bad! And there was like no one on the lake, so we had it practically all to ourselves!! I am so glad Jared and I were able to play together on the 4th!! After the lake we watched a couple fireworks from our balcony, and then watched "Independace Day" I didnt make it through the whole movie, I fell asleep, but its the thought that count, right? => Happy 4th of July!!!

Jacuzzi Time!

When we first got here neither the pool nor the jacuzzi had water in it, the maintenance guys were cleaning and repairing things. Then they were kind enough to open the pool, butthe jacuzzi was still closed. Last week they opened the jacuzzi, but the water was freezing!!! And yesterday, the day of all days in the pool, we went in the jacuzzi, just to be able to sit & talk while in the water, and we had a pleasant suprise! It was warm!!!! So warm you could even cal it a hot tub!
I wanted Jared to come swim with me that night, but he got home after the pool had closed, and he is such a good boy, he didn't want to break the rules and hop the fence. => Oh well, next time he gets home early we will go swimming!

Water World!

On Saturday (June 6) two of the wives and I went to the water amusement park Water World! The day was gorgeous! 83 degree weather, clear sunny skys, a more perfect day for water parks is hard to find! It was a saturday, so we were a little nervous that it would be crazily crowded, but we had to try. And to our luck, there was some big thing going on in Denver (i dont remember quite what it was) so there was hardly anyone there! We walked on to every ride except for two, and those had no more than a 15 minute wait! It was amazing!1 I love water and bathing suits and attractions, and fit them all together, its preactically perfect! =>
The parks hours are 10-6, but we went from 12-4:30. This is our lunch break at around 2. We had coupons so the admission price was quite a bit cheaper, and we packed snacks to eat, so it was an inexpensive adventure! And we all know those are the best!
We went on every ride (that we wanted to go on) and even some that we didnt! And we still left in time to see our hubby's when they get home! Look at the gorgeous sky in the background! This is the picture we took after a fun filled day of getting soaked, aka as we are leaving the water park! This park is so close to our apartments too, 10-15 mins! So exciting!! It was such a fun day with some of the wives!!

I Would Be Crazy...

Being here in Denver has been a roller coaster! Not only is the weather bipolar, but i NEVER see my husband! Jared is commonly gone from 7:30 or 8:15am to 10:30 or even 11:00pm!! One time he got home at 11:30!!! I'm not going to lie about this, I DETEST this job!!! He is never home and if he has a bad day or gts sick or anything, he is 2 hours away, but I dont even know exactly where! And I wont even start on if I have a bad day!!!
Even with all of this work crap and limited time together I manage to stay out of a mental ward. And how is that you ask, well its a miracle! I am so lucky to have wonderful wives who play together when their husbands are away! Even though I play with them for little whiles every day, it seems enough to keep me sane, and I am so grateful for them! Here are some pics of some of our outings!
This is at a furniture store. Its always fun to try and decorate a house you dont have with things you cant afford! =>
Yay! A Disney Store!!! If I cant go to Disneyland, I can have the next best thing right?!? =>
I am so glad one of the wives is a Disney nerd like me... it makes being nerdy and playing around so much more enjoyable! =>
I love these girls! Who would have thought acting crazy would keep you sane? =>
One of the wives has a dog, so we go walking/maybe running with her! What a good way to bond & stay healthy!
One day we even went to tour a candy factory. The tour wasnt very fun, but hey, we got free candy at the end of it!
We had all this build up candy excitement after the tour, we had to let it out somehow! And crazy picture/cany playing was the way! =>
And how can we forget, the pool! We figured that we are special wives because we dont have a book or cooking wives club, we have a tanning, shopping, swimming, eating wives club! =>
Trust me, there are many more pictures where these all came from, but i picked the best out for this post => lol But all in all, I am very thankful and grateful for these wonderful wives! They are making a hard time bearable, and even fun at times! I don know what crazy house I would be in without them!
