4th of July Adventure!

On Saturday, after the wives run, I was able to meet Jared at Chatfield Resovior to jet ski!! A boy he sells with lives around there and his family has jet skis. They were nice enough to let us borrow them for the evening.
We went with a group from EcoSure down to the lake. Jared and two other boys went to the boat docks to just the two jetskis in, and ten rest of us went down to the lake front. When we first got there it was slightly raining (sprinkling) and the wind was blowing like crazy! So yes, it was a little chilly. But the water was warm, so I put my feet in the water and blocked the wind and the rain with my umbrealla =>
When the boys finally got back to us Jared and I got to go out!! And it was also our job to take life vests back to some people on the other side of the lake. (The boys has some miscommunication so the person who drove the car left without giving the boys life vests, and the rangers wouldn't let them drive the jetskiss over to us without life vests. This kind family was nice enough to let them borrow some)
I was rip and rearin to go, but then we discovered that I had taken the big life vest and left Jared with the small one. =>
So we exchanged vests, and everything was all fine! =>
Here we go!! I am so excited to ride this thing!! =>
We had to figure out how to ride together with two exrta life jackets. So we situated them between ourselves, because we figured I would be holding on to Jared for dear life anyways. =>
I love that I got to play with Jared on the 4th of July!! While we were waiting for the jet skis I was talking to one of the sales girls and told her that Jared and I hardly have any pictures together this summer. She was so cute and took my camera, and she deffinately did a good job at taking pictures of us on the jet skis!! Thanks so much Jenny!! =>
Here we go! Off into the wild blue yonder! => (I like the touch of two life vests between us, after all we need to be B_O_M length apart) => hehehe
These things were so much fun! Yes I was nervous and scared the first time Jared went super fast, because this is my first time on one, but then I got used to it and it was very enjoyable!! =>
After our first ride together!! I love this man!!! I am so lucky to have married such a wonderful person!!!
While we were waiting for the boys, We were under umbrellas (as you saw in the beginning of this post) and Jenny had an idea that we exagerate the picture and go waist (and then neck) deep into the water while still holding the umbrellas. So later that evening, we did. And I think it turned out to be a pretty cute picture. =>
On our second time out, we got dumped into the water. I was way scared to go in the water, maybe I have watched one too many water related scarry movies, but once I was in there, I was fine! And it was quite funny! =>
This is the day we were out, I had to get one of the bipolar skies! There were dark rain clouds, normal bright blue skies, some clouds that couldnt decide if they wanted to be rainy or not, and a beautiful sun! It definately was not the perfect warm lake weather, but it was not bad! And there was like no one on the lake, so we had it practically all to ourselves!! I am so glad Jared and I were able to play together on the 4th!! After the lake we watched a couple fireworks from our balcony, and then watched "Independace Day" I didnt make it through the whole movie, I fell asleep, but its the thought that count, right? => Happy 4th of July!!!

The Wives After Run Pics

So after the run we took sooo many pictures. Without exagerating we probably spent at least an hour taking pictures. It was sooo much fun!! And these are what I think are the best ones =>
Oh yeah, we just ran! =>
Don't even think about messin with us! We will whoop yo trash!
This is what we looked like running! => Yes I know we are silly =>
On your mark....... get set..........
Go! And we are off! =>
The thing that comes to my mine when I see this picture is the cheer "We bad, we know it, we're here, to show it" =>
Then commences the jumping pictures! =>
I taught them the toyota (or C) jump. It turned out pretty cool =>
We asked a passer-by to take a pictre of all four of us! For some reason when people take pics with that camera, their finger is always in the shot. Maybe I have a weird camera =>
Oh yeah, we can dance. =>
We tired to find the coolest car to get a stretching picture by, this is all we could find => The other ones were just normal cars.
Then we found this cute motorcycle!
Since we pretty much rocked the jumping pictures we thought we would try hand stand pictures. The goal was to get one person on a hand stand with feet and hands apart, one person standing rightways up in that position, then one in a hand stand again.
This was as close as we ever got. None of us expected it would be so hard. =>
Oh yeah, rocking our cute ecosure wives tanks! (we finally figued out how to do self timer on my camera so we wouldnt have to ask random people who get their fingers in the pictures)
Some of the EcoSure wives! If it wasnt for these girls, I would probably go crazy here with Jared working so much!
After like forever taking pictures, we went to Denny's to have a celebratory breakfast! => This was so much fun to do but I found out something. I am a walker not a runner. (in more ways that one =>) But it was so much fun!!

July 4th 5K Run!

We did it!! We ran a 5K!! And we were sneaky. We didn't pay the like $30 registration fee to where you can get a number and a shirt and goodie bag, etc, we just hopped on in and ran! It was so much fun!! And yes this will be a long post, beacuse we had so much fun and took so many pictures!
We vastly underestimated the time it would take to get to our little run in the mountains. The start time was 8:05am and we parked our cars quite a ways away at 7:54am. So this is a picture of us running to the starting line. We counted it as our warm up. =>
Yay! We got to the starting line, yes already out of breath, when the man yelled "two minutes 'til start". Yes, we had made it in time! Which was actually perfect because we were able to just slip right in! =>
And someone was nice enough to take our picture in those two minutes! This is 3 of the 4 wives that came up to race (the fourth got waaay car sick driving up here so she stayed in the car)
And we are off!! Yes not a very cute picture, but we were running, all I needed was proof! => lol
Yes, we were milking it for all it was worth!! It was so fun to mess around with the camera while running, who knew? => This picture makes it look incredibly uphill! =>
One of the wives started not feeling very well about 1/2 mile in, so I stopped running ad walked with her for a while. Look at this beautiful scenery!!! We are like 45 mins up in the colorado mountains! Gorgeous!!
These were the cute little signs that lead our way. I think they are just adorable!! & believe it or not, i felt safer with being able to see them! Not too long after the last picture of me was taken, about 3/4 miles in, the wife I was walking with felt really sick, so she turned back and went to go wait in the car with the car sick wife. => So I went on my merry little way, and about a mile later I crossed the third wifes path (I know this story sounds like a fairy tale thiing). I do have a confession to make. I did turn around right htere and ran to the finish line with the third wife. I kno, i know I cheated. I figured out I ran a little over 2 1/2 miles of the race, and we parked a ways away, so I got 3 miles of some sort of movement in at least =>.
Me at the finish line, with my EcoSure shirt!! I did have so much fun running this race! I want to get in better shape where I can actually compete in a race like this one day, I think that would be so fun!
Me and the third wife, Janae, at the finish line!! Yay we did it! (and yes, the guys finger is in the picture). This was waaay fun! And I have like fifty billion pictures that we took after the race, but I will put them on the next post. => Happy 4th of July!!!

EcoSure Wives Tanks!

The wives and I are planning on running a 5K marathon on the 4th of July! Our husbands have to work in the morning, so it would be a perfect way to kill some time! We went to target and bought some tank tops and green sports bras.
Janae and I took pictures of the tops in Target's dressing room, just so we could have a different view of each tank top, & these were the ones we chose.
Some of the wives did their designs in fabric marker, but I wanted to do mine in puffy paint..so I did. => The plan was to copy the logo that the sales reps have on their shirt and then put "WIVES" under it.
These are all my materials. I cut out stencils and taped the letters together to make "Eco Sure" so I could more easily puffy paint the words. It turned out pretty good I think =>
This is what the sales representatives shirts look like. So the finished product should look like this shirt, with wives underneath it. =>
And this is my finished product! Not too shabby if i do say so myself! => We will see if it looks good when I wear it in the race tomorrow! =>

Illegal Potatoes!!

Yesterday was a good and bad day. A bad one because it was puring rain in Jared's area he was selling so he didn't sell any accounts. And because of the rain they came home early, thats the good part! => Before we went off and had a date night, I wanted to see Jared's creation in action. He built his friend Jermiah a potatoe cannon!! I had heard about their adventures with it, but have never seen it in action, so we journeyed off to the park to launch some potatoes!
When we got to the park there was a lot of little kids and their parents, so the boys decided to play basketball and wait them out. => I love watching Jared play basketball! ven theough they were just messin around with the ball, he still looks soooo good with ball in hand! =>
They finally left, so onto the main event! Jared is stuffing the potatoe into the cannon, I never knew it had to be such a tight squeeze! Look at those muscles!! =>
We are ready to rumble!!!! => Its finally that time, time to shoot some potatoes!!!
These two are the masterminds behind this whole idea! Jermiah wanted a potaote gun, Jared knew how to build one, Jermiah financed the adventure, and Jared laboured to make it happen! => I must say, that thing is pretty dang cool! I wanted to take a lot of pictures and have them do it all sorts of different ways, but they fired it a couple times then wanted to get out of there. I didnt understand why. So when Jared and I were driving away he explained to me.....
Potatoe cannons are illegal to have. That its basically just like firing an unregistered gun in a public park. Well that was news to me. => I have to say it was kind of exciting. This is the first time my husband and I were on the lamb! = hehehe So shhhh, dont tell anyone =>

Fixing the Car

I know many people have done this, but today was my first time and I am very proud of myself! Our car had passed the number of miles that were on the windshield sticker (yes very technical I know) so we needed to take it in for an oil change and a couple other things. Now I have taken the car to a shop before, but Jared had done everything. All I had to do was drive it in, give them the keys, then pick it up again. Jared took care of everything else. But this time, I did everything. I called the place this morning, set up an appointment, told them what needed to be done (I tried to be as technical as I could, i think I pulled off my facsade of knowing what I was talking about!) take the car in, answer the like 10 calls I got from them asking if they could do all these different things, pay for it, and pick it up! I know its probably not as big of a deal as I think it is, but give me a break here, its my first adventure into the "big grown up car world" without Jared! Although I must be honest here, I did cheat once. One of the times they called me I had no clue what they were talking about or why they wanted to do some stuff, so I tried to call Jared, but he was working and couldnt answer, so I asked some of the wives, and they didnt really know, so I made the best decision I could. Later Jared called me back & then called the service people to find out what was going on. But it turns out, my decision wasnt that bad! Yay!! So thats my little car story for the day. I feel so grown up taking car of my own car and talking about it! =>My friend Danae was nice enough to come with me to drop my car off. The shop is just right on the corner from my apartment, probably a 10 minute walk, so I figured I could just drop off my car then walk home while its being worked on.
Yay we did it! I dropped off my car & explained things!! Woot Woot!!!
We dropped off my car at 10:30am, and I got a call at 2:30 saying my car was finished (mind you they said it was only going to be there until 12:30). The other wives were swimming at the pool so I embarked on the journey to pick up my car on my own! But don't worry, I came equipt with a popsicle!! =>
There is my precious little car, all fixed and ready to be driven!! =>
I made it through the car ordeal alive and kickin!! Yay!!! (can you tell I am a little excited?) Yay for fixed cars and adventures!!

Jacuzzi Time!

When we first got here neither the pool nor the jacuzzi had water in it, the maintenance guys were cleaning and repairing things. Then they were kind enough to open the pool, butthe jacuzzi was still closed. Last week they opened the jacuzzi, but the water was freezing!!! And yesterday, the day of all days in the pool, we went in the jacuzzi, just to be able to sit & talk while in the water, and we had a pleasant suprise! It was warm!!!! So warm you could even cal it a hot tub!
I wanted Jared to come swim with me that night, but he got home after the pool had closed, and he is such a good boy, he didn't want to break the rules and hop the fence. => Oh well, next time he gets home early we will go swimming!

Dinner & a Movie Marathon

Saturday was such a fun day! Although I do not have many pictures of it! Jared got home around 4 and it was still hot, so we went swimming! It was our first time swimming together here! I had a blast! Then one of his friends, Jermiah, came over and they made a delicious dinner and we had a "Bourne" marathon!
We only have two chairs, so dinner was interesting, but we all fit of the bean bag quite nicely! => This picture is of the boys and their dinner, and they wanted to do the "blue steele" look from Zoolander. They are weird, what else can I say. => I was a whimp and only made it through the first Bourne movie before I fell asleep. The boys made it through number two, but them called a reconoider for the third one. Even though we didn't get through the bourne trilogy it was still such a fun day!

Motherly Visit in CO

Kalyn started BYU last week! She is getting all grown up! => hehehe My mom and three of my brothers drove her to school and helped her get started. Then they decided to come to Colorado to visit! They stayed at my aunt Holly's house, who lives in Highlands Ranch. Jared and I went to dinner with all of them on Saturday which was so fun! Then on Wednesday my mom drove up to Westminster to see our apartment! Jared had to work so he didn't get to play with them, but I did!!
We had to get proof that they reall did come to my apartment! We took this picture on my moms phone and sent it to my dad, to make him jealous! => hehe
Me and the "3 little boys" They are getting so big now! I can't believe it! I still remember when they were born!! And still think of them as little babies! It's weird to see them act so old! =>
While they were here we didn't do anything extravagant. We went out for lunch, swam at the pool in my apartment complex for a bit, chilled at my apartment, and went to see Transformers 2. I took all the little boys to Transformers while my mom and Holly went to "The Proposal" and went shopping. I was glad I could give them time alone to play! And the movie wasnt half bad either. =>
And I have to say, the giant bean bag was a hit with the boys! => I am so thankful that my mom could come and visit me out here! I love living in different places, but it is very hard to be away from my family! The next step is to get them to move to Utah or Idaho, and Jared's parents to move by them, then we could all be close and play! => That would be so fun!
